Lesson: 14 - Text in different shapes, download fonts.

Purpose:Learn how to Download fonts from websites for Photopea and display text in different forms.

Materials Required

Laptop, Internet connection with Photopea software, E-mail id with password.

Prior knowledge

Students should be able to download images and be familiar with fonts, font size, font color and text alignments

Exercise:1


1. Students download fonts from the browser for Photopea software.

2. Students use the typing text tool to add texts and change the color of those texts.

3. Students use the typing text tool and pen tool to design a drop cap.

4. Students use the pen tool with its parameters and ruler to create a waveform text.

5. Students use the pen tool and images to wrap around the text.

Teacher's Instruction
  1. While the students learn, the teacher should observe whether they articulate the words like fonts, load, font size, type tool, align to the left, align to the right, align to the center, color picker, drop cap, ruler, pen tool, cursor, anchor point, handles, stroke, width, baseline shift, tracking and become familiar with these terms.
  2. Guidance should be given for the students for every exercise and allow them to share in their peer group.
  3. Ask them to find out whether it is possible to create a new shape with the pen tool?
  4. Ask the students in order to delete an anchor point, what to do?
  5. Ask the students to think about when you use the pen tool, if you keep the stroke 0px, what will happen?
  6. Ask the students to think about adding texts in a circular path without the shape of a circle. Is it possible?
